Review : Liverpool vs Everton

The final result Liverpool against Merseyside neighbor, Everton was 2-2. It was not a pleasant result but it is better than nothing. One point is better than nil.

The afternoon (local time) start emotionally with return of Kenny Dalglish, first game at home since he left Liverpool in 1991. He was give warm welcome by supporters at Anfield.

Warm welcome for the King
The game start with sense of optimism since Kenny lead the team. As his trend, there were surprised in his lineup since Gerrard are out due to red card, and Carra is injured. He brought youngster Jay Spearing to help provide the momentum in his side along with Martin Kelly who retained his place at right back. The reds attacks from the start and as early as the first 30seconds, the goalie of Everton was tested by Fernando Torres who got the ball from Dirk Kuyt flicked from Agger's diagonal pass.

The reds maintain the fast tempo in the game and as a result on 29th minutes they got the breakthrough of what Dalglish was hoping for when Raul Meireles gave a power shot towards the goals and secure the first goal for Liverpool.

For the remaining 15 minutes of the first half, Liverpool got more chances and there was a few nerves moments when they tried to score but unfortunately the result remain 1-0 to the end of first half. However, there was no doubt it had been an impressive 45minutes for Liverpool.

Second-half wasn't good moment for Liverpool when they were forced to replace the ill Daniel Agger with Kyrgiakos. Liverpool was better with Agger at the back. They were than tied for 1-1 just a few minutes after second game start and before they were recovered from the shock of conceding they found themselves behind on 52 minutes.

Luckily, at 66th minutes, the Everton goalie Tim Howard brought Maxi down and gave penalty to Liverpool. Later on Dirk Kuyt confidently rescued Liverpool for 2-2. The results remain till end of the match.

To conclude on the game, Liverpool was better than previous match against Blackpool. Besides, most of the players gain back their confidence. For example, Torres is rarely talk to media about his opinion on the club but after the game of Merseyside he spoke to media that he is confident with current team and believe Dalglish could rise up Liverpool once again. It is about the matter of time. Furthermore, Dirk Kuyt also has same opinion with Torres. He insisted that the players are desperate to turn Liverpool's season around and has vowed to do his utmost to get the team back to winning ways. He is also convinced that fortunes will soon start to turn for the better under new manager Kenny Dalglish.

Well, for overall evaluation, I would choose Fernando Torres as Man of the Match for his hardworking and effort during the game. Though he did not score a goal but he had many chances to blow Everton off. In addition, I do believe that soon Liverpool will be back to their level. They used to play beauty football and yet they are going to do it again.

Preview : Liverpool vs Everton

Only a few hours left before kick start of Merseyside Darby, Liverpool against Everton at Anfield. Many supporters are upset of losses for this season even tough Kenny Dalglish has taken over Liverpool since last week. With transfer windows for January is officially open we still didn’t have any new faces at Liverpool except the return of the legend, Kenny Dalglish.  But that would give impact to players as they respect Dalglish so much. This can be seen during match against Blackpool last week where we can see Torres played confidently than usual. That was morale booster by King Kenny. However that was too earlier to judge the team since Dalglish take over as caretaker.  Dalglish said, we have to be more realistic with current squad where they are playing below their ability. Without Gerrard who got red card during match against Manchester United, Carragher and Joe Cole are struggling from injuries, there are a lot more to do by Dalglish to bring back The Reds to the top. Fans and players should reunite once again for the victory.

Back to preview of tonight’s game, this is third game since Dalglish return as Manager, but also the third game in a week. It was a hectic week but it is not possible for Liverpool to win the games. According to statistic, Liverpool is better than Everton and won more from previous matches. Everton never won any match against Liverpool at Anfield since 1999 but they are quite good this season when they won the match at Everton during first league of EPL. The reds should be more careful facing their rival tonight. We hope for tonight’s game we will be entertained by a wonderful plays from Red Men and hope all problems during match against Blackpool last week solved already. According to Dalglish, Liverpool doesn’t have a lot of problems actually because most of the players got high skill as individual but the problem is about the spirit of the team. This problem will be focused by Dalglish during tonight’s game.

Well, this is most probably team squad for Liverpool tonight.

First Eleven
Reina, Kelly, Kyrgiakos, Agger, Aurelio, Skrtel, Lucas, Meireles, Maxi, Torres and Kuyt

Substitute:
Cole, Babel, Ngog, Shelvey, Koncheskey, Poulsen, Jovanovic, Johnson and Pacheco

For tonight, Liverpool should aware of Saha because this player will always try to give a shot every time he got chance and Pienarr as well because is kind of very fast player. At Liverpool side, we never know what is Kenny’s plan because till now we can see that he is still trying to find suitable players according to their best position. If we recall games against Blackpool, we could see Torres hardly get good passing from his teammates.

Whatever it is, according to source from liverpoolfc.tv, Joe Cole has joined his teammates for training and this is a good sign if he could play for tonight.

Introduction

Salam and Greetings Everyone!

This is first time I write in a blog, never have one before. This might going to be fun because I can throw out thoughts and ideas here, most probably anything and everything about football. I am die hard Liverpool’s fan since I was kid. Well, before I proceed more about this blog, I would like to give brief introduction about me.

My name, as per I.C is Mohd Izzat Syamir. I am the eldest for two sisters. I am from North of Malaysia, in a state of Kedah Darul Aman. Here are some pictures of my hometown.

One find day, on my way to grandma's. Just a few kilometers from my house.

Sunset at the backyard of my gradma's

Scenic isn’t it? :)

A little bit more about myself, I got my first formal education at Sekolah Kebangsaan Haji Hassan Itam, Alor Setar  Kedah before proceed to Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Momahad Jiwa, Sungai Petani for secondary education. Next, I went to Sultan Abdul Hamid College for Pre-University Education after I got my SPM results. Currently, I am doing Bachelor Degree of Business Administration at MARA University of Technology, Bandaraya Campus, Bandar Melaka.

Enough about myself, now, I would like to share with you about my passion and it is everything about football. Just like common guys, I am a football freak. If you notice, my URL for this blog is bangau-merah. It is significantly represent the Liverpool Football Club because I am a die hard Liverpool fan and I seldomly miss their match but since I am doing Bachelor Degree, my focus is more on study. However, it doesn’t mean that I neglect the football at all; I still have a balance life. I always go for futsal with friends’ atleast once a week to maintain fitness. Good mind comes from good health.

Well, back to Liverpool FC, this season wasn’t a good year for them. They start with new manager, Mr. Roy Hodgson with new hope to get back among top 4 after end at 7th place for last season under Rafael Benitez. However, things getting worst than before when Liverpool lost almost 99.0% away games and now at 13th place in EPL just 4 of drop zone. There a lot of internal conflicts that has been solved such as with the previous owner Gillet and Hicks. Since, Liverpool has been taken over by the owner of Baseball Club Red Sox, fans are hungers of changes. We want to see our team get back to the top and everybody at Liverpool FC from owner to manager to players and supporters are struggling to bring back the glory.

Roy Hodgson has left Liverpool last week after crush at Blackburn and now Liverpool got new caretaker, the legend, Mr.Kenny Dalglish. It is good to have someone who loves Liverpool to lead the team. Let us see what the outcome from King Kenny in remaining season. Hope he could really boost up the spirit of reds again to all the players.

Welcome home, King Kenny!
